Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Qord (available at qord.in, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including property owners, team members, and guest portal users.

2. What Qord Does

Qord is a property management platform designed for homestay and short-term rental owners. The Service enables you to:

  • Manage property listings, bookings, and availability
  • Sync bookings seamlessly across channels like Airbnb and Booking.com
  • Assign and track tasks for your caretaker team
  • Monitor operational performance and avoid double-bookings

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must not share your login credentials with unauthorised individuals.
  • You must promptly notify us at support@qord.in if you suspect any unauthorised access.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Team Members

As a property owner, you may invite team members (e.g., caretakers) to help manage your properties. You are solely responsible for the individuals you grant access to and the content you share through the Service. Qord is not liable for any actions taken by your team members.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload — including property descriptions, photos, instructions, and guest data. By using the Service, you grant Qord a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We will never sell or share your content with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the platform to spam guests or send unsolicited communications
  • Misrepresent your identity or your properties

7. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments

Access to Qord's paid features is provided on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. Fees are charged automatically in advance at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Per-Property Pricing: Paid plans are billed per property per month. The Pro plan is ₹200 per property per month (₹1,920 per property per year with a 20% annual discount). The Scale plan is ₹400 per property per month (₹3,840 per property per year with a 20% annual discount). The Starter plan is free with unlimited properties.
  • Mid-Cycle Property Additions: When you add a new property during an active billing cycle, a prorated charge for the remaining days of the current cycle is added to your next billing date. The charge is calculated as: plan price × (days remaining in cycle ÷ total days in cycle). From the following cycle, the new property is included in your regular recurring charge. Removing a property does not generate a refund; the reduction takes effect from the next billing cycle.
  • Automatic Renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. By providing your payment details, you authorise Qord and Razorpay to charge your payment method on each renewal date without further notice, unless you have cancelled.
  • Free Trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment is collected during the trial. Your subscription begins and billing starts at the end of the trial period.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway. Qord does not store your credit card, debit card, or UPI credentials. Payment data is handled entirely within Razorpay's secure infrastructure.
  • GST: Prices listed are exclusive of applicable taxes. GST at the prevailing rate will be added to your invoice where required by Indian tax law.

8. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the pricing of our subscription plans at any time. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will provide you with at least 30 days' advance notice via email to your registered address before the new pricing takes effect on your account.

If you do not agree with the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellations do not entitle you to a refund for the current billing cycle except as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Calendar sync on cancellation: Upon subscription cancellation or suspension, calendar synchronisation with third-party platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.) will continue for up to 24 hours to ensure any pending bookings are captured. After this period, iCal export and import will be paused until the subscription is reactivated. New bookings cannot be created via Qord during a suspended or cancelled subscription.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

  • Payment failure: If a subscription payment fails and remains unpaid after reasonable retry attempts, we reserve the right to suspend access to paid features until the outstanding amount is cleared. We will notify you by email before suspending your account.
  • Policy violations: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that abuse the platform, violate these Terms, or are found engaging in fraudulent activity. In cases of serious misconduct, termination may be immediate without prior notice.
  • Data on termination: Upon termination, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, giving you an opportunity to export it. You may contact support@qord.in to request a data export.

11. Third-Party Services

Qord integrates with third-party services including Google (for authentication), Razorpay (for payment processing), and respective OTA platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com) for calendar synchronisation. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and policies. Qord is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access to the Service. We are not liable for any loss of data, missed bookings, or service interruptions arising from technical failures, third-party outages, or circumstances beyond our control.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qord shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or service downtime, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to Qord in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
